The Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London has partnered with Hellenic Management Centre for a brand new online Executive Education course in Shipping Law.
Students can now book to join the online course based at Queen Mary’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) starting in November 2023.
The course is developed in collaboration with Hellenic Management Centre, a leading maritime training and educational provider in Greece, which specialises in providing maritime professional training and education to the shipping industry.
The ten day course is designed to provide a rigorous dissection of the legal issues affecting all parts of the shipping industry. The course does not assume any legal knowledge and includes an introduction to contract law and agency law principles – the key pillars of many elements of maritime law. Practical examples and real-life cases will be used throughout the course. One of the unique characteristics of this course is the wide range of topics covered. It brings together academia and experienced leading legal practitioners from the shipping market. The sessions will be delivered interactively, combining academic excellence and practical insight. The course is crafted for the needs of all maritime professionals who may require legal insight.
Professor Ioannis Kokkoris, Director of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies said: “We are very pleased to work with the Hellenic Management Centre in designing this Executive Education course on Shipping Law. CCLS has a long track record of top quality executive education in a variety of areas and shipping law is one of our strongest areas. The course will be interactive and practical, and will delve into cutting edge themes necessary for maritime professionals. The course will be delivered by my colleagues Professor Miriam Goldby and Dr Filip Saranovic, experts in the field of shipping law who will share their practical insights with the participants."
