The ‘Good Practices in Sovereign Debt Borrowing’ project is a multidisciplinary project that will be led by GPI with the School of Economics and Finance, School of Law, and the School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London.

A group of Queen Mary experts from different disciplines – law, international economics and finance, international relations – together with scholars from other universities and institutes around the world, as well practitioners and policy-makers, will collaborate to draw a set of guidelines (the “Guide”) to assist countries in implementing good practices for responsible and transparent borrowing in order to prevent unnecessary or over-indebtedness.
