Student-led legal service for Tech City entrepreneurs launches

Published:

Google Campus will host the launch of a free legal advice service for digital start-ups based in east London on Wednesday 22 January.

The qLegal scheme, run by the award-winning Legal Advice Centre at Queen Mary University of London, sees LLM students advise digital clients from Tech City who would otherwise struggle to protect their intellectual property.

The students, from QM's Centre for Commercial Law Studies, have professional support from leading law firms and academics who are also donating their time and expertise to the new scheme.

Co-founder and MD of mobile marketing and analytics company Tamoco, Sam Amrani, will give a key note speech at the launch event at Google Campus.

qLegal is part of a European network of legal incubators at top law schools (iLINC) and funded by a two-year grant from the EU and Higher Education Innovation Funding.
