Professor Julia Hornle discusses 'Revenge Porn' BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour on Monday 15 July

Published:

BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour is to interview Holly Jacobs (US, Florida) on Monday 15 July. Holly Jacobs believes her ex-boyfriend is responsible for posting naked photos and explicit videos of her online. The show will discuss what can be done against so-called 'revenge porn', which is a new form of domestic/sexual abuse of women (largely) and what can be done about this in the UK.

Julia Hörnle, Professor of Internet Law at Queen Mary, will look at the legal considerations which currently involve breach of confidentiality/privacy as a civil action and potentially, harrassment (civil/criminal action). The discussion will last about 6-7 minutes.
