Can fashion be a tool for change? In Taking Action! we will be considering the potential for fashion and fashion brands. Fashion is almost always about making a statement, and even protest, but what about when those statements for social, political and environmental change are made by the brands themselves? Activist brands will be joined by experts from law, branding, marketing, consumer psychology, fashion and design to examine the challenges, risks, and opportunities for brands to get political.

The Brands

CICON.App - Your circular wardrobe concierge

What is the Film Fashion Forum?

The Film Fashion Forum is a series of conversations with creatives on the law, art and business of film and fashion, chaired by Johanna Gibson, Herchel Smith Professor of Intellectual Property Law and Convenor of Film and Fashion Law at CCLS, QMUL.

It aims to put the creative work at the heart of the discussion and build a dynamic dialogue with the diverse publics around creative enterprise. Each event is motivated by the work itself and brings together creatives, practitioners, academics, researchers, policymakers, consumers and more. If you want to talk about film and fashion, then the Forum is the place to be.

And if you are working in the creative industries and would like to participate in the Film Fashion Forum and showcase your work at future events, please contact Johanna Gibson on j.gibson@qmul.ac.uk.
