QMUL Commercial Law in China Series
The Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) was delighted to welcome Professor Shaohua Zheng, President of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and Vice President of the Environmental and Resources Law Research Association of the China Law Society, for a special open lecture on "China’s New Ecological and Environmental Code".
Professor Zheng discussed the development and significance of the new Code, together with its broader implications for environmental governance, sustainable development and the future direction of environmental law in China. The lecture offered an opportunity to learn about these important developments directly from a leading Chinese environmental law scholar and to join the discussion on the evolving legal framework for ecological and environmental protection in China.
The event was open to all and was particularly relevant to students, researchers, academics and practitioners with an interest in Chinese law, commercial law, environmental law and sustainable development.
