CCLS Alumna Selected as a Chevening Research, Science and Innovation Leadership Fellowship Fellow
Sruthi Raghavan got in touch with CCLS Alumni Office to tell us about her news.

Sruthi Raghavan (Management of Intellectual Property MSc, 2015) shares a recent milestone with the CCLS alumni community: “In 2026, I was selected as a Chevening Research, Science and Innovation Leadership Fellowship (CRISP) Fellow - one of 12 professionals from India selected by the UK Government to undertake an 11-week leadership fellowship at the University of Oxford. I returned to India in July after completing the programme.
My UK educational journey began earlier, with an MSc in Virology at Imperial College London (2009–10), followed by my MSc at QMUL. After QMUL, I worked in the IP and legal ecosystem through consulting and advisory assignments, and I have continued to engage with the IP community. Although my career over the past several years has moved into India's development and philanthropy sector, IP remains relevant to my work; I continue to help non-profit organisations build awareness of intellectual property and stay connected to the wider IP network. My subsequent professional experiences in the UK and my recent Oxford fellowship have shaped how I approach work— rigour, curiosity, evidence, and structured thinking.

Today, I work at the intersection of strategic communications, public health and social impact, communicating complex scientific, legal and policy issues in ways that enable better understanding and action. Looking back, there is a clear thread connecting my UK education and career: learning to work across disciplines, navigate complexity and translate knowledge into practical impact.”
Sruthi would be delighted to hear from other QMUL alumni who have subsequently been selected as CRISP Chevening Fellowship. Connect with Sruthi on LinkedIn.
