CCLS Thailand Chapter's drinks reception

CCLS Director meets alumni in Bangkok

A reunion drinks reception took place on Friday 24 February 2023 at the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G in Thailand, hosted by CCLS Director Ioannis Kokkoris.

Committee member Duangkaew Noppornprom (Commercial and Corporate Law LLM, 2012) shared:
 
“It was a great moment to be taken back to my time at Queen Mary again as a result of the CCLS Thailand Reunion in Bangkok.

It was a great opportunity for CCLS Alumni to join the networking event and catch up with Professor Ioannis Kokkoris and I hope that we will have similar events more often in the future to reconnect and build relationships among the CCLS Thailand Chapter.”

Professor Kokkoris said "I was very pleased to meet some of our Thai alumni and find out what they are up to as well as share their pleasant memories from their LLM program. We have a very strong Thai alumni community and I look forward to more alumni joining the CCLS Thailand Chapter and seeing them again very soon."

“I had an amazing time at the CCLS Alumni party in Bangkok hosted by Professor Kokkoris! It was so great to see familiar faces and meet new ones, all while exchanging valuable insights on our professional careers, experiences, and challenges. Although our alma mater from Queen Mary University of London, offers various courses, most of the attendees at the party were lawyers, representing a diverse range of legal fields, from corporate law to litigation, to Intellectual Property and beyond. We also shared tips and advice on how to navigate the legal profession, which was incredibly useful. 

However, we all recognised the value of meeting alumni from different professional backgrounds and hope to see more diversity at the next meetup. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, making it a fantastic networking opportunity. Looking forward to the next meetup and catching up with old and new friends!”
