After graduating from CCLS in 2014, Nikhil took up a job as an associate in a family law firm in Delhi, India. His busy internationally orientated practice takes him travelling across the world. This is what Nikhil said about his recent trip:

“I was hopping between Italy and Australia recently to close a settlement negotiation that we were handling for one of our Banking Institution clients in Sydney with an Italian debtor, and to meet our partner firms in Australia. Being an Indian, I could not miss the World Cup India vs. Pakistan game which was in Melbourne just a day later. Further, we recently closed a million dollar recovery for an American online teaching company that was winding up business in India.”

Mr. Nikhil Palli is a fifth-generation lawyer in the Palli family, and manages a team of over twenty professionals based out of his office in New Delhi, which has sister offices in Mumbai, Chandigarh and Pune. The team represents Indian interests globally and has partner firms in over 55 countries. The family’s relationship with the profession and the legal fraternity began in 1910 in what was the State of Pepsu during pre-partitioned India.

Nikhil works primarily on cross border litigation, multi-jurisdictional compliances and international due diligence amongst other allied work.  Over the years, he has represented various foreign interests in India and specialises in transactional negotiations for global financial institutions.

Nikhil says about his studies at CCLS: “It goes without saying that my electives at QMUL being International Dispute Resolution has indeed been of tremendous help in my experience mediating for our clients. "
