On October 20, 2022, the CCLS Spain chapter met at Casa Club in Madrid (Spain) with other alumni from Ryder Club member universities. This was a significant event, as it was the first face-to-face event in the post-pandemic era, and the first of its kind since the Spain Chapter joined the Ryder Club of Spain two years ago.

Ryder Club Spain (RCE) is an association of alumni organisations of prestigious international universities, particularly in the United States and Europe.

Representing Queen Mary University of London were Fernando Grajera (International Dispute Resolution LLM 2017), Vice President at litigation finance firm PLA, Nicolás Costábile (International Business Law LLM 2013), Managing Director at AYESA, a global provider of technology and engineering services, and Roberto Muñoz (Comparative and International Dispute Resolution LLM 2014), Coordinator of the Spain Chapter and Senior Lawyer at law firm Latham & Watkins.

Among the other guests at the event, which was attended by approximately 40 people, were alumni from the world's most prestigious universities such as Harvard, Cambridge, Columbia, Georgetown, IMD, Northwestern, Kellogg and GSB.

In addition, this event was a great opportunity for the Presidents and Delegates of the different Clubs that form part of the Ryder Club to get to know each other more closely, and for all alumni attending to connect and have a relaxed exchange.

Roberto Muñoz said this about the event: “It has been a great opportunity to connect with professionals from prestigious universities with a highly interesting profile. This event organised by the Ryder Club of Spain represents a great precedent for our Spain Alumni Chapter.”
