Tomas Rodriguez Correa (Law and Economics LLM, 2020) shares his recent news with us: “Currently, I am a lecturer in public international law and a researcher at Corporación Universitaria Empresarial Alexander von Humboldt (Colombia). As part of our research in the law department, we are working on sovereign debt issues. Recently, we got a confirmation letter stating that our research paper on ‘Economic Good Faith’ has been accepted at the Fourth Annual Conference on Law and Macroeconomics co-organised by the Bank of England.

It was exciting news as the event is hosted by CCLS and co-hosted by international universities, like Tulane Law School and Yale Law School, among others. Tomas says:

I am proud to be there as a young researcher because there will be international experts in law and macroeconomics who are working on crucial issues for a post COVID era. Finally, one year after graduating from the LLM in Law and Economics, I realised how important these two subjects were for international policy-making and therefore how relevant was the education I received from fantastic academics at CCLS."

More information about it is available on the Bank of England website.

Tomas is a Committee member for the CCLS Colombia Chapter. If you would like to find out more about the Chapter, join our Colombia Chapter LinkedIn Group or the Chapter on the Queen Mary Network, see our website.
