Ramy Moustafa Abdelhady (Human Rights Law LLM, 2020) from Egypt shares his news about being recognised by the President of Egypt’s National Council for Women.

I received my LLM degree in Human Rights in 2020, and since then I become a senior criminal public prosecutor and director of prosecution.

As I studied women’s rights and feminist theory at QMUL, one of my main interests was to apply what I studied at work and assure victims of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) are effectively protected. I needed to cooperate with many authorities including the National Council for Women.

Therefore, I am glad to share with you the appreciation letter sent from Dr. Maya Morsy the President of Egypt's National Council for Women to the Honorable Prosecutor General of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This includes my name alongside my colleagues working at the Prosecutor General’s Office and other district prosecution offices.
