On Thursday 22 August 2019 Dr Gabriel Gari, Reader in International Economic Law, met with eight CCLS alumni in Montevideo, Uruguay. Everyone had great fun at Brujona Beer Station, an English style pub with tasty locally brewed ales.
Gabriel said “It was very good to catch up with our Uruguayan LLM graduates. They are all doing extremely well, working for top law firms. I was pleased to see how our graduates flourish all over the world, confirming our international reputation as a centre of excellence in commercial law and being wonderful QM ambassadors. Well done to all!”
Dr Leandro Secco Blanc (2017, LLM), summed up the evening by saying “We had a fantastic evening with colleagues and Dr Gari. He shared interesting insights on QMUL’s story and teaching, and also compelling perspectives on issues of general interest like Brexit and Uruguayan politics.”
