Compete with confidence: Showcasing your skills, strengths and experience | 1st November, 1-2pm
As a QMUL student and graduate, you will have skills, knowledge and experience that is highly valued by employers (and investors should you wish to set up a business or social enterprise) across all sectors and various roles. Join this session, run by our Careers Consultant, Afua Kudom, to learn how to showcase your strengths and unique selling proposition, throughout various stages of application and assessment processes.
How to ace interviews | 6th November, 1-2pm
Did you get an interview for an internship, graduate role or part-time job? Want to know how to ace this interview? Then come along to this central workshop run by our Careers Consultant, Stefan Couch.
Career Management: Effective Goal Setting and Career Planning | 8th November, 1-2pm
Learning how to set goals and plan your career is an essential skill that you will use throughout your life. Join this session to learn more about how to be proactive and effective in both areas to help you find a career and next steps after graduation that you will enjoy.
Being Reasonable: Accessing disability support during the recruitment process | 9th November, 1-2pm
This workshop will explore the many and varied support options and adjustments that people can, and do, benefit from both during the recruitment process and in the workplace. In addition, delegates will also build their understanding about the implementation process and have the opportunity to work through some real-life examples.
Using LinkedIn to explore career ideas and find opportunities | 13th November, 1-2pm
Want to know what a professional brand is and the practical steps you can take to build yours, to help maximise success in your careers activity? Attend this workshop to learn how to do just that.
How to succeed at numerical reasoning tests | 20th November, 1-2pm
This session is aimed at any students who want to learn more about the numerical reasoning tests that many employers require applicants to undertake. In the session we will discuss the format of the tests and look at some general tips and tricks. We will then have a go at some practice questions and discuss the correct solutions. The session is aimed at all students, regardless of your confidence with numerical reasoning.
How to succeed at psychometric tests | 22nd November, 1-2pm
In this hands on session, work through a range of psychometric tests with support and practical tips from a Careers Consultant. These include Situational Judgement Tests, personality tests, and abstract reasoning.
How to succeed at assessment centres | 27th November, 12.30-2pm
Learn what to expect from assessment centres, as we explore what they entail and how you're assessed. In this engaging session we'll primarily be focusing on group activities, what they're assessing, how they're assessed and how to 'stand-out'.
How to ace interviews | 28th November, 1-2pm
Interviews can be nerve-wracking, but when you know what to expect, you feel more in control. In this workshop, we'll be helping you to improve your interview skills by looking at preparation, question types and how to answer them. Whatever industry you are going into, this session will help you to prepare for your next interview and go into it with confidence.

Are you thinking about doing a Masters degree? It can be an exciting prospect, would you like more information about what's involved? Join this session to find out more and get an idea of how Masters degrees affect future careers.
Acing your CV and applications | 30th November, 1-2pm
A breakdown of popular recruitment processes and how you as a candidate can best succeed in them when applying for positions, this session covers what actual skills employers want to see, and how you can articulate your top skills in your CV. We will also cover our tops tips of the trade, and a series of activities to support you in playing the recruitment 'game'.
