Profile

Natalie McCloskey is the operational and administration lead for the Blizard Institute and works with the Institute Director in the development of the Institute’s strategy. She manages the administrative support staff, sets the overall direction and line-management of staff, leads on workload management and career development for Institute staff. Natalie is responsible for the Institute budget, the management of space, and represents the Institute on committees and working groups within the University/Faculty.

Natalie graduated in Immunology in 1992 from King’s College and completed her PhD study under the supervision of Prof David Goldblatt at The Institute of Child Health, UCL in 1996. Following postdoctoral positions researching human B cell maturation in the context of allergy at Birmingham University and then King’s College, Natalie moved to QMUL in 2008 to take up a laboratory manager position with Prof Sussan Nourshargh at the William Harvey Research Institute. Natalie has been Blizard Institute Manager since 2013.
