Welcome to all our new on-site and distance learning students. Whether you are able to join us on campus or are studying from home, we can't wait for you to join us at the Blizard Institute.
Please note that this photo was taken in 2019 pre-COVID.
All of the information you need for your induction can be found on the Blizard Institute QMplus page. QMplus is our virtual learning environment. To login, you will need the username and password which has been emailed to you by IT Services. QMplus will be one of the first things you log on to as a student. We recommend you become familiar with it before you start your degree programme, particularly as so much of our teaching will initially take place online.
There are a number of induction videos for you to watch on the QMplus page, including a welcome message from Blizard Institute Director Professor Tim Warner, Academic Skills Enhancement, The Basics of QMplus, and more. You will also receive further information from your programme teams relating to your course.
Welcome Week will take place from Monday 14 September – Friday 18 September. During this time, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore your courses and the services available to you at Queen Mary, as well as social activities, both digitally and in person. If you are able to come to campus and need support or have any questions, you can visit the information point in Library Square from 10am – 4pm each day.
You can find all of the information you need for Welcome Week on the new students site.
You can also visit the Welcome Week Zone on QMplus for more content such as the 'Consent Matters' module, information for international students and various other useful information.
