Core Pathology

Histology services covering a wide range of histology techniques for both formalin fixed paraffin wax embedded tissue and frozen tissue.

CREATE Biofabrication facility

Supporting research in advanced tissue engineering and development of complex in vitro models utilising 3D bioprinting and microfabrication techniques

Flow Cytometry

Supporting researchers with their cell analysis needs, from cutting-edge immunophenotyping to live single-cell sorting for groundbreaking discoveries.

Genome Centre

Founded in 2000, we collaborate to enable genetics and genomics projects across all disciplines, from tardigrades to tumours.

Phenotypic Screening Facility

Supporting users with everything from high throughput screening of multi well plates to multiplex slide scanning, analysis and bioinformatics.

Additional core facilities across the University

The following booklet outlines the various facilities available to researchers. It is arranged by broad subject areas; some of these areas are well served with complimentary facilities on each campus, for example imaging. Other areas have a single facility serving all campuses. The booklet has up-to-date details of websites and contact details for each team, allowing for more straightforward arranging of consultations.
