MSc Management of Intellectual Property - Full and Partial Scholarships 2020-21

Herchel Smith Scholarship

The Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) is offering one to two full scholarships worth the full tuition fee (at home student fee rate) to outstanding graduates of UK universities (for full-time candidates only). Full scholarships will be deducted from tuition fees payable to the college.

John Kemp Scholarship

We also offer the John Kemp Scholarship, which is usually in the region of £500. The John Kemp award is paid directly to the student.

Successful candidates for the scholarships may be asked to assist with marketing events such as the postgraduate open evenings and/or web/video student profiles.

How to apply and Deadline

You will need to apply for the MSc Management of IP programme before the funding deadline, as we only consider funding applications from students who have already applied for the programme.


The scholarship will be awarded to those who we deem to have successfully demonstrated their reasoning for being awarded a scholarship based on the following criteria;

  • Academic merit
  • Previous experience within this field.

The personal statement should show your intended career route post-qualification and how you choose to follow a programme in the area of intellectual property.
