Student life

Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry students are in a unique and privileged position of having membership of two Students’ Unions.

As a Barts student, you're a member of the Barts and The London Student Association (BLSA) and also Queen Mary University of London Students' Union (QMSU) which represents students from across Queen Mary University of London. Both unions are student-led organisations that are here to represent, support and provide opportunities for you throughout your studies.

This means that as well as enjoying all the social activities available to you on Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square campuses, you can also benefit from the facilities and social events offered by QMSU on the Mile End campus. Barts students can join sports clubs, societies and volunteering opportunities at the BLSA or choose from a wide selection on offer at QMSU.

I love the vast number of societies, sports clubs and volunteering groups one can get involved with. There is literally almost something for everyone and even if there is not, people can start their own groups!
