Primary School Outreach

In-School Workshops

In 2023/2024 we launched a new programme of workshops for primary school pupils. These include SEPnet STEM careers workshops for Year 3, and Tactile Universe sessions for Year 5. Our aim is to work repeatedly with the same children over several years to build and maintain science capital.

We have capacity to deliver these workshops in a small number of local primary schools. Please contact us at spcs-outreach@qmul.ac.uk if you'd like more information.

The Great Science Share for Schools

In 2023, we hosted a celebratory day of science for the Great Science Share for Schools, which is an annual campaign spotlighting young people's scientific questions. We are excited to host this event again in 2024! Please contact us at spcs-outreach@qmul.ac.uk if you'd like more information.

Mud, Flood and Fire

We are currently working with the Brunel Museum to deliver a live action show to Key Stage 2 children called 'Mud, Flood and Fire'. The show teaches children about solids, liquids and gases in the context of the Thames Tunnel. Read more about the show here.

Schools based in Southwark and Tower Hamlets who are interested in getting involved should contact the museum at hello@thebrunelmuseum.com.
