I am a theoretical linguist with a specialization in semantics and its interfaces with morpho-syntax and pragmatics. My current work investigates issues such as the nature of natural language quantification, the grammatical representation of number, the relationship between the morphology of quantifiers and the possible meanings they can express, and the representation of implicit content in the syntax of natural languages. I study these issues from a theoretical, cross-linguistic, and, sometimes, experimental, perspective. I work on Spanish, German, English, Russian, Imere and other languages. I welcome expressions of interest for PhD supervision in any of these areas.

I've recently held a British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Small Research Grant on the scopal and identifiability properties of Russian indefinites with Tania Ionin, from the University of Illinois.
