"Friedrich Max Müller and the Role of Philology in Victorian Thought": a new volume, co-edited by Angus Nicholls
Angus Nicholls' and John Davis' new edited book on Max Müller will appear in 2017. Müller was a leading figure in 19th-century British debates concerning comparative philology and the comparative method, which were part of the prehistory of comparative literature.
The volume is already available as special issue of Publications of the English Goethe Society, and will be published in the Routledge book version in 2017.
