Profile
Dr David Grima is a Lecturer in Basic Medical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London, Malta Campus. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (M.D.) from the University of Malta in 2018 and subsequently completed the Malta Foundation Programme, gaining experience across a range of medical and surgical specialties, including at Gozo General Hospital.
David previously worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Queen Mary, teaching clinical skills, communication, anatomy, and problem-based learning. Before joining Queen Mary as a Lecturer, he worked in technology and innovation, most recently as Director of Product Innovation in digital identity, biometrics and applied artificial intelligence. This experience has shaped his interest in the use of technology, visual communication, interactive learning, and human-AI collaboration.
Outside medicine, David has a deep love for the great outdoors and the natural world, and enjoys climbing and mountaineering, the visual arts, and music.
