How did you find the teaching and learning?

The distance learning programme at Queen Mary allowed me to pursue my activity as a lawyer in a law firm in Paris and to complete my education with an LLM perfectly adapted to my specialities and areas of interest (Technology, media and telecommunications law). It was the perfect combination!

What was key about your programme?

The Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law (TMT) LLM programme offers the opportunity to delve into a wide variety of essential subjects for anyone looking to work in the TMT sector and to acquire a good understanding of all the legal issues that relate to technology in an international world. The modules contain lots of crucial readings and are very dynamic thanks to the organisation of video sessions with the professors. 

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

I would advise to make the most of it as the studying goes by very fast. Also meet up with other students if you have the opportunity, take advantage of all the seminars and workshops organized by Queen Mary and by the careers department, etc.
Has gaining a deeper understanding of your specialisation helped your career?
This specialisation allows me to better serve my international clientele and to be up to date with all the novelties and challenges posed by new technologies.

What was your best experience of studying at Queen Mary?

One of the nice surprises of this programme was the encounters with my classmates, with such varied backgrounds. This allowed us to exchange and compare our views and experiences, with the impact and influence of our national laws. What a great international experience!
