Year of graduation: 2021
Name of programme: Human Rights Law LLM
Country: Argentina

What influenced your decision to choose a LLM at Queen Mary?

I always knew I wanted to come to Queen Mary. It has excellent professors, it offers modules that tackle current challenges in the field, such as Human Trafficking and Artificial Intelligence, and it provides the opportunity to do an internship in Human Rights’ NGOs and even the UN. Queen Mary is also the best place to meet people from all over the world and to establish long-lasting friendships. Queen Mary really is the whole package!

How did you find the teaching and learning?

Even though I had a full online LLM, the quality of the teaching was outstanding.

What was key about your programme/ were there any highlights?

I enjoyed the critical discussions promoted by the professors, which also allowed me to learn a lot from my peers!

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

I would highly recommend QMUL, as it is the ideal combination of gaining knowledge and skills in a very friendly environment.

Has gaining a deeper understanding of your specialisation helped your career?

I cannot answer this yet, as I am still finishing my studies. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that my experience at QMUL has given me all the skills and knowledge I need to be the human rights lawyer I have always dreamt to be.

What was your best experience of studying at Queen Mary?

I enjoyed the classes and meeting people from all over the world, and I loved to participate in extracurricular activities, such as being an Intern at ISCI or a Policy Associate at the GPI.
