While doing my undergraduate degree in India, I developed an interest in the field of alternative dispute resolution, so I started looking for the best options through which I could advance my career in the field. After doing research nearly for a year, I finally decided to pursue an LLM from Queen Mary University of London. The main reason for my choice was its reputation in the field of international arbitration. It is without any doubt one of the most prestigious institute in the field of international arbitration, which provides the best education and exposure to students. Plus, Queen Mary University is in London, a city which is known as the “Heart of International Arbitration”.
The teaching, and learning experience was exceptional. The professors at Queen Mary are experts in their respective fields, and have great knowledge, experience, and wisdom. They are very approachable, helpful and kind in their nature, which makes the whole teaching and learning experience comfortable and joyful. In addition to their good teaching approach, they were in the habit of encouraging and offering students insights that would aid their career growth. Although it was a difficult decision starting my LLM during the pandemic, I had a great experience, and the professors gave their best and I can say confidently “I HAVE NO REGRETS”.
There were many highlights whilst studying on my programme, which I would love to share, but the best thing about the program was the career events and extra-curricular activities. Those were really helpful and fun as well.
The one piece of advice I would like to give to prospective students is to attend all career events and extra-curricular activities.
