2-3 September 2026: Programme induction

A detailed schedule will be available late summer.

The induction programme is designed to:

• welcome students onto their programme of study.
• meet the academic and professional services staff and fellow. students on your programme.
• module selection – information and guidance.
• learn how to use QMplus online virtual learning.
• meet the Career teams.
• intro to Library facilities.
• Academic skills sessions.

2 September 2026: Student ID Card Collection.

• From AskQM, Lincoln’s Inn Fields campus, CCLS 3rd Floor.

During this period, you will be attending modules, lectures and tutorials (all modules are compulsory).

7 September – 10 September 2026: Intensive 4-day course IPLC134 Fundamentals of Law and Ethics (IPLC138 for students with an approved exemption).

14 September 2026 – 11 December 2026: Weekly teaching.

8 October 2026:

• Fundamentals of Law and Ethics (IPLC134/IPLC138) assessment (Multiple Choice Quiz element).
• First semester (Exact date TBC)    Themed dissertation session- Joint event with IP LLM.

30 November 2026: Students doing a compulsory or elective Dissertation will need to submit a draft/working title.

11 December 2026: Teaching ends.

14 December 2026 – 6 January 2027: Study Period (including Holiday Break).

7 January - 22 January 2027: Semester 1 Examination Period.

During this period, you will be attending modules, lectures and tutorials (all modules are compulsory). 

Please note that meeting with Dissertation Supervisors start this semester.

25 January – 16 April 2027: Study Project (IPLM205)- Introductory Session & Mentor allocation and meetings start.

19 April– 4 May 2027: Study Period (including Holiday Break).

6 May – 4 June 2027: Semester 2 Examination Period.

17 August 2027: Dissertation Submission Deadline.

Resit Examination Period: 2 – 13 August 2027.
