Prof. Malgosia Fitzmaurice appointed Associate Member of the Institut de Droit International

The School of Law at Queen Mary University of London is pleased to announce that Professor Malgosia Fitzmaurice has been awarded an Associate Membership of the Institut de Droit International. This accolade is in recognition of her contribution to the field of international law.

Institut de Droit International was founded on 8 September 1873 at the Ghent Town Hall in Belgium by eleven international lawyers of renown.  The Institute is a learned society and its purpose is to promote the progress of international law. In recognition of its action in favour of arbitration among States, a peaceful means of settling disputes, the Institute has received the Nobel Peace Prize.
