Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas quoted in Lords Report on the European Public Prosecutor's Office

The Report from The House of Lords Justice, Institutions and Consumer Protection EU Sub-Committee's inquiry into the role of the proposed new European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) has now been released.

Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, Head of the Department of Law and Professor of European Criminal Law at Queen Mary University of London has been quoted extensively in the report.

He was questioned as part of the inquiry in March this year, alongside Professor Dr Katalin Ligeti, Luxembourg University, on issues such as how the EPPO would work and what possible problems may be faced by non-participating Member States as well as resource implications for Europol, non-participating Member States and others.
