How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website. 

We also consider students from Estonia with the following qualifications:

  • Gümnaasiumi loputunnistus with the Riigieksamitunnistus (Secondary School Leaving Certificate with the State Examination Certificate)

This is Queen Mary's equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the Gümnaasiumi loputunnistus with the Riigieksamitunnistus:

Please note, the Gümnaasiumi loputunnistus with the Riigieksamitunnistus is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes (but is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes). However, it may be accepted for our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta.

Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree; University Specialist's Diploma; or Professional Higher Education Diploma from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: 4.5 out of 5
UK 2:1 degree: 3.5 out of 5
UK 2:2 degree: 2 out of 5

The above grades assumes that 1 is the pass mark.
