Special Subject Modules

In your final year you will take a Special Subject module, where you closely examine a theme or period of history, taught by an expert researcher in the field. Special Subjects are intensely source-based, and will give you the opportunity to work closely with a large number primary materials.

As part of your Special Subject, you will produce a 10,000 word dissertation on a related subject of your choice, giving you the freedom to explore and develop your own research project. This is the culmination of your undergraduate degree and you will be guided through this alongside an expert academic.
