Education Programmes Board

The Education Programmes Board (EPB) is established by the Senate as a sub-board of the Education and Student Experience Board (ESEB).

EPB provides institutional oversight and assurance for the academic development, approval, and amendment, suspension, and withdrawal of taught programmes and modules. The Board’s remit covers all taught provision considered through the University’s programme and module approval arrangements. 

Dates and deadlines 

  • Wednesday 25 November 2026* (submission deadline: 4 November 2026) 
  • Wednesday 2 December 2026 (submission deadline: 4 November 2026) 
  • Wednesday 3 February 2027 (submission deadline: 13 January 2027)
  • Wednesday 24 March 2027 (submission deadline: 3 March 2027)
  • Wednesday 19 May 2027 (submission deadline: 28 April 2027)
  • Wednesday 7 July 2027 (submission deadline: 16 June 2027)

* the 25 November meeting has a closed agenda that is reserved for a specific set of programmes.

Meetings will take place 1400-1700 on these dates in hybrid format (in-person and MS Teams) unless otherwise stated.

Completed submissions must be made in Curriculum Manager no fewer than 15 working days in advance of a meeting. Submission is not a guarantee that the proposal will be considered at the next meeting, and proposers should discuss scheduling with Quality and Standards at an early stage.

The relevant Head of School/Institute Director or Director of Education and the programme proposer will be invited to attend the meeting to discuss the proposal with the EPB. At least one member of the programme team must attend in-person.
