The Worshipful Company of Marketors is a City Livery Company.   The members of this company are on the way to achieving, or have achieved, mastery and excellence within the Marketing profession.  Every year they aim to reward outstanding learning by inviting a select number of leading UK Business Schools to submit a Project/Paper produced by a student from their Marketing Masters programmes/MBAs.  From the submissions of 2017, Julia won an award to the sum of £1,000 for outstanding performance in marketing at Master’s level.

On winning the award Julia said:

“I am really proud and grateful for having been selected to receive the prestigious Worshipful Company of Marketors Award for my Dissertation from the MSc Marketing Programme at Queen Mary, University of London (Dissertation Title: “Friend or Foe? The Influence of Luxury and Sustainability on Consumers’ Willingness to Pay”)!  This work required a lot of hard work and dedication, and I could not be more happy with the result!   Also, I want to thank my supervisor Dr. Stephan Dickert who provided guidance throughout the whole process in regards to creativity, contents and any further insecurities I was fighting.   Being given this award has and will surely continue to help me gain an essential advantage in the business world and in the future in general - it showcases essential personal as well as professional strength”.

Julia will receive her award at the high profile Ceremonial Court of the Company in the City.  This will involve the Banquet to the Lord Mayor in July 2018 and the Bowden Charter Dinner in October 2018.  Thus following in the footsteps of previous Queen Mary University of London winners who also obtained an outstanding result.
