Professor Colin Haslam to report to the Commons Select Committee

On Tuesday 27th March Colin Haslam, Professor of Accounting/Finance at SBM will report to the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Select Committee on: Sourcing public services: lessons to be learned from the collapse of Carillion.

Professor Colin Haslam has been asked to provide an account of the collapse of Carillion Plc. Before its collapse it had sales of £5.2bn and employed 4300 staff globally and managed over 450 government related outsourced contracts. Professor Haslam will present his ideas and analysis about what went wrong at Carillion and what lessons can Government learn in terms of outsourcing public services.
