Award

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie (post-doc) Individual Fellowship is a prestigious European funding scheme that supports mobility, career development, and training within and beyond Europe. The scheme offers 1-2 years’ highly competitive salary, a mobility allowance, and research costs. Fellows must always move, or have just moved, country to take up the fellowship.

 

• European Fellowships (12-24 months) at host institutions in EU Member States or Associated Countries, open to researchers either coming to Europe or moving within Europe
• Global Fellowships have a secondment (12-24 months) at a host institution in a country outside Europe, followed by a mandatory return period (12 months) to a European host institution

This scheme aims to support the best, most promising individual researchers with a doctoral degree, or at least 4 years’ full time research experience from anywhere in the world. It supports ‘bottom up’ research. Candidates should have a very strong CV and publications record (relative to their career stage).

The call was published on 12 April 2018, and the final deadline date for your applications is 12 September 2018.

 

All expressions of interest must meet the eligibility criteria of the scheme. In particular, applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the UK for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission of proposals.

How to express your interest in a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship at SBM

 

Expressions of Interest should consist of the following documentation:

1) A copy of your CV (max. 2 pages plus full list of publications)

2) A 2 page (A4) Research Proposal Summary, which includes details as to which research

area(s) from the list above, you are interested in

3) Covering letter

4) Identification of at least two possible SBM supervisors

 

Please submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) pack to Monira Begum, Research Manager   (sbm-research@qmul.ac.uk) by Friday 22^nd June 2018.  

 

Expressions of interest will be selected based on the quality of the research idea and candidates will be invited to make a formal application with their SBM supervisor(s). Results will be announced in July.
