One of the three QMUL students to receive this award in 2016 was Bayan Alsedais, a PhD student at the School of Business and Management. Bayan’s research on ‘zero-leverage firms’ in Saudi Arabia has been very well received, and this award shows recognition of the important work she is carrying out. Bayan is a member of the Behavioural Finance Working Group, a research body which brings together practitioners with internationally respected academics in finance, psychology, sociology and economics.

The award ceremony was held at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London on the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
