The School of Business and Management is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Tessa Wright as Deputy Dean Research (Impact) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS).

Tessa is currently Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at the School and a member of the Centre for Research in Equality and Diversity. She has enjoyed a fascinating and varied career both before entering academia and since. Her specialist interests focus on inequality at work and encompass such topics as the experiences of migrants and ethnic minorities, women and LGBT people in the labour market. Her recent research has focused on women in construction, specifically public procurement, with a new book on gender and sexuality in male-dominated work out soon.

Within the School Tessa is involved in both research and teaching and currently supervises three PhD students. She has also both written and provided contributions to dozens of journals, articles and books.

Head of School Professor Martin Laffin said "I would like to congratulate Tessa on her appointment as Deputy Dean Research (Impact). I am particularly pleased that we now have a key SBM staff member who will make a great contribution to the future of the HSS Faculty and schools"
