REMINDER TO TAKE PART IN THE NATIONAL STUDENT SURVEY 2011

Published:

Please visit - www.thestudentsurvey.com

This survey gives you an opportunity to provide feedback on your experience as an undergraduate student at QM.  Information from this national survey provides all higher education institutions with valuable data about what they are doing well and also about areas for improvement. It can also assist prospective students in making informed choices about which course to do and their preferred institution.

You will be receiving a separate email from Ipsos MORI (the company running the survey) with details on how to complete the survey.

In previous years, Queen Mary, University of London has performed well in the National Student Survey.  Again in the 2010 survey many of the academic departments at QM saw high levels of student satisfaction - comfortably above the national average - for the overall quality of their programmes.  Nevertheless, the College seeks to achieve a continuing improvement in the quality of our undergraduate provisions.

We take the results of the National Student Survey very seriously.  Results are considered at both a School, Faculty and College level, including the Queen Mary Senior Executive and several of the Colleges top-level committees.   We act on all areas identified by the survey as in need of improvement.

As a result of the 2010 survey we are currently reviewing feedback provided to students on examination performance and also continuing to implement the Colleges Code of Practice on Assessment & Feedback.

We strongly urge you to complete the National Student Survey and help us to understand what we are doing well and where you feel we might be able to improve the student experience at Queen Mary.

Please help us to sustain and develop the high quality of teaching and learning at Queen Mary.
