Mile End road

The Undergraduate Open Days at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) can attract over 12,000 visitors.

The Open Days will take place across Queen Mary’s campuses in Whitechapel (Medicine and Dentistry) and our large campus in Mile End (all other subjects), which is next to the historic Regent’s Canal.

Mile End Campus

Tube

Our Mile End campus is easily accessible via public transport, with two Underground stations only five minutes walk away and several bus routes stopping at our campus.

Stepney Green tube station is on the District and Hammersmith & City lines. Turn left out of the station and walk along the Mile End road for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the East Gate on your left.

Mile End tube station is on the Central line. Turn left out of the station, cross over the junction, go under the bridge and along Mile End road for approximately 2 minutes. You will see the East Gate on the opposite side of the road.

The East Gate will be recognisable by a big 'Queen Mary' banner on the wall next to it.

Bus

The Mile End campus is based on Mile End Road, on the 25 and 205 bus routes, with a stop right outside the campus.

Car

Please note that we have no general parking available on this campus and the surrounding area is a controlled parking zone. We strongly recommend you arrive by public transport.

We do have a small number of parking spaces for Blue Badge holders only. If you would like to request a parking space, please contact opendays@qmul.ac.uk.

 

Whitechapel Campus

Tube

The Whitechapel campus (where the School of Medicine and Dentistry will be located for our Open Days) is easily accessible via public transport, with the Whitechapel Underground station on London Underground's Hammersmith and City and District lines, just a five minute walk away. The Crossrail Elizabeth line is also expected to open later this year connecting west and east London, making it easier to travel to Whitechapel from Reading all the way across to Shenfield.

Whitechapel tube station is located opposite the Whitechapel campus (you will exit the station via Court St). Walk down Court Street and cross the Whitechapel road where you'll see sign to the campus.

Bus

When you arrive

Please make your way to the nearest registration and check-in point. Our Student Ambassadors and staff will be on hand to help direct you around the campus.

Our Open Days can be busy with thousands of prospective students and their guests visiting but please don't worry, the check-in queue moves very quickly!

Please bring a copy of your email booking confirmation (includes a QR code), either as a printed hard copy or on a digital device, to be scanned by our team in the registration and check-in points.
