Profile

My PhD examines the philosophical and political implications arising from the contemporary blossoming of immersive museums – installations where the building’s walls function as canvases onto which enormous moving images are projected, enveloping the viewer in haptic panoramas. As my research is located at the intersection of film and philosophy, I will draw on the work of Jean-Luc Nancy to illuminate how immersive museums challenge the traditional aesthetic categories of body, spectatorship, and moving image. My case studies include the works of Refik Anadol, which have been exhibited at the pioneering US immersive museum ARTECHOUSE, and the new London immersive gallery FRAMELESS.

I have a BA in Philosophy from the University of Pavia, where I was alumna at Ghislieri College, and an MA in Film Studies with Philosophy Pathway from King's College London.
