Module design - improving module content

QMPlus quiz completion

When you use QMPlus quizzes in your module to check learner understanding, LEA can show if these are being attempted. Quizzes with a lack of engagement or a high level of abandonment could be replaced with an alternative activity, such as a discussion forum or reflective journal entry.

Remember to set up quizzes as outlined by the Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TELT) to ensure LEA data is shown accurately in your QEngage dashboard.

Video watching habits

When you use videos in your module to provide content to learners, LEA can show if and for how long learners are watching them. This information could be used to produce the optimal length of recordings for learners. LEA may also help identify viewing patterns round study periods, holidays and assessments which can be helpful when considering where to ‘place’ certain videos in the module.

Remember to set up videos as outlined by the Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TELT) to ensure LEA data is shown accurately in your QEngage dashboard.

Reading list engagement

When you use Talis reading lists in your module to provide research material to learners, LEA can show if key texts are engaged with ahead of seminar discussions or assessments.

Remember to set up Talis reading lists as outlined by the Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TELT) to ensure LEA data is shown accurately in your QEngage dashboard.
