Audio interview with Henry Patterson, Professor of Politics at the University of Ulster, by Canon Ian Ellis for The Church of Ireland Gazette on 23 March 2009. On 7 March a Real IRA attack on Massereene Barracks in Antrim town killed two British soldiers and injured two other soldiers and two civilians. Two days later the Continuity IRA killed a member of the PSNI, the first police officer killed by paramilitaries in Northern Ireland since 1998. In this interview Patterson discusses the potential impact of dissident republican organisations on the Peace Process and the possibility of a Truth Commission in Northern Ireland. The Church of Ireland Gazette is a monthly journal published by the Church of Ireland Press which addresses religious and political issues.
