The Prison Memory Archive is an archive of 175 filmed interviews from those who passed through Armagh Gaol and the Maze and Long Kesh Prison during the Troubles. The range of participants includes prison staff, prisoners, visitors, teachers, chaplains and probation officers. At the moment, there is a selection available on the website and it is in the process of establishing an interactive archive, so all material will be available and users can navigate their own pathway through the stories.

Strengths:

A unique collection of filmed interviews on-site at prisons which are now all but inaccessible or demolished. The protocols of co-ownership and inclusivity ensures a wide range of participation.

Access:

Some of the material is available online. It is hoped the rest will made available in the future.
