Ethical Principles

Transparency and Accountability

Our processes, procedures, funding and motivations will be made visible and accessible to all participating and involved in the project.

We will be fully transparent in providing and disseminating information to all relevant parties. Our communications plan (developed in consultation with the SEUPB) ensures a regular flow of information. Supported by a professional PR company we will ensure maximum media output and reach.

Confidentiality

Our interview strategy has been developed in the light of well considered handling procedures and is based on our assurance of confidentiality and professional standards of care and consideration.

The closest attention to detail is maintained in preserving confidentiality in the processing and storage of sensitive project material.

Our cardinal concern is to protect all of our interviewees and project participants (including their privacy and personal security) and to preserve material from exploitation.

All staff have undergone relevant security checks.

We have undertaken a risk analysis of the project. We will regularly review this in the light of changing circumstances and we will update procedures for participants who might experience risk.

We have referred all relevant documentation and protocols to legal advisors and to College officers.

Evaluation

An independent consultant will undertake an evaluation of the project, with particular reference to the Aid For Peace guidelines.
We encourage feedback from all interested parties in order to enhance the quality and impact of our project delivery.

Accessibility

We aim to be fully accessible to our project participants and related groups.

We will seek to provide information in alternative formats if requested.

Equality, Inclusivity and Respect

The project reach across communities and religious groups will be comprehensive and structured.

We respect the diverse needs of all participants, regardless of religious, social, cultural, ethnic or political background.
