Applying to us
We accept applications online through UCAS. We make a decision based solely on your UCAS application and we will not normally interview you. Further information on how to apply can be found on the QMUL Admissions pages.
Once we have made you an offer we will invite you to attend one of our Offer Holder Days. These give you a chance to meet some of our staff and students, hear more about the School of Mathematical Sciences and get a feel for what life as a maths student at QMUL is like. You will have the opportunity to attend a taster lecture, take a tour of the campus, find out about student support and ask questions informally.
There are various opportunities available throughout the year for you to visit us before you apply.
- There are two QMUL Open Days: one in June and one in September/October. You can come along to meet our academics and current students, and find out more about our entry requirements and degree programmes. Book online for both of these events and view the dates of the next events.
- If you cannot make either of the Open Days, you can arrange a campus tour at any time throughout the year.
- We run several Offer Holder Days especially for those who have been offered a place to study with us, as outlined above. We will contact you to personally invite you to an event should your application be successful.
- We also run a variety of taster courses for Year 12 students, through the University of London. These give you the opportunity to spend the day on campus and experience life as a mathematics undergraduate. You will attend lectures similar to first year lectures and meet current students and academic staff. Click here to go to the University of London Taster course website.
