What influenced your decision to choose a LLM at Queen Mary?

Having practised as a competition lawyer for several years, I was aware of the importance of choosing a university which is at the forefront of competition law developments. I found QMUL, with its excellent faculty members and varied curriculum offer, to be the obvious choice in this regard.

How did you find the teaching and learning?

What I appreciated most as part of the Competition Law LLM was the excellent quality of teaching, as well as the frequent participation of guest lecturers who were renowned practitioners. This allowed me to have a well-rounded learning process, with solid theoretical and practical components – as a practising lawyer, this was precisely what I needed from this programme.

Did you combine modules across specialisations and if so, what were the advantages of this?

Furthermore, I particularly appreciated that I was able to choose modules from other specialisations. Competition law is interlinked with so many other fields of law, which is why being able to extend my knowledge beyond my specialist modules was extremely useful.

I would recommend the Competition Law LLM to any professional looking for rigorous training, as well as to those looking for an excellent insight into the current and future competition law developments.

Would you be willing to share your Testimonial? If so, you could help a prospective student to make an informed choice to study at Queen Mary. (Class of 2020, 2021 and 2022 only).
