Summary of research

The project examines the legal implications across the global supply chain of replacing paper transport documents with blockchain records in container transportation.

Short biography

Ilias Ioannou is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London, and a qualified Lawyer at Court (admitted to the Athens Bar). He holds degrees from Democritus University of Thrace (LL.B.), University of Athens (LL.M), King's College London (LL.M) and Queen Mary (MRes). Ilias joined the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London in 2020, to commence his doctoral studies as a recipient of a LISS DTP Collaborative (CASE) Studentship.
