Towards Harmonisation of Multimodal Transport Law in ASEAN

Summary of research

The research explores a feasible way for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to achieve a higher level of multimodal transport harmonisation through implementing the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Multimodal Transport (AFAMT), taking into account the experience of the European Union (EU), so as to make full use of it in achieving the ASEAN economic objectives.

Biography

Nuanchan holds a Bachelor's degree in Law with First Class Honours (Gold medal) from Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand. Shortly after completing her LLM in International Business Law at Queen Mary University of London in 2014, Nuanchan became a lecturer in Law at the School of Law, Mae Fah Luang University. Her research topics during 2014-2019 include cross-border trade and transport in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Also, she strengthened her legal background by joining several academic courses, including the ASEAN Law Academy Advanced Programme (2021) and the 14th International Foundation for the Law of the Sea (IFLOS) Summer Academy (2022).

Nuanchan joined the CCLS again in 2020 to commence her doctoral studies.
