Dr Prakash Shah takes part in book launch for 'India that is Bharat'

The event was part of the Arth: A Culture Fest series and was graced by Her Highness Princess Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi of the Travancore Royal Family.

On 13 August 2021, Dr Prakash Shah, Reader in Culture and Law at Queen Mary University of London, participated in the launch of a new book, India that is Bharat: Coloniality, Civilisation, Constitution, the first of a trilogy, written by J Sai Deepak who is a lawyer practising, inter alia, at the Indian Supreme Court. The book was launched as part of the Arth: A Culture Fest series and currently ranks top among political theory titles on Amazon India. The event was graced by Her Highness Princess Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi of the Travancore Royal Family, with the panel discussion comprising of Dr Gautam Sen (co-founder of the political economy program at LSE) and Dr Anand Ranganathan (Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), alongside J Sai Deepak and Dr Shah.
