A gold trophy above the words 'GOLD TROPHY WINNER QUEEN MARY ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION SOCIETY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD'The Queen Mary Students’ Union (SU) has recently awarded the Queen Mary Alternative Dispute Resolution Society the highly sought Gold Trophy and Professional Development Award 2020/21. The awards reflect the outstanding and highly qualitative work the society delivered this year which resulted in a wide range of invaluable opportunities for the Queen Mary law and business students.

Events

In February, the society welcomed Ms Claudia Salomon, President of the ICC, International Court of Arbitration, and Professor Malaguti, President of UNIDROIT, who discussed with a high number of attendees about their career path, expertise and experience. The society is proud to have provided for the first-time ever at Queen Mary such an opportunity to learn from Presidents of such renowned international institutions.

At the same time, ADR Society ensured that students benefitted from a mix of panel discussions and workshops (academic and practical) with reputable arbitrators and professionals from international law firms, including:

  • Arbitration and Brexit – New Challenges between the EU and UK, with Professor Giorgio Sacerdoti, Professor Stefano Azzali, Professor Stavros Brekoulakis, Professor Antonio Crivellaro
